Our Australian home was founded in 1986 in the beautiful Yarra Valley on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country. Since then, we have been crafting exceptional sparkling wine drawing from the diverse richness of our lands and benefiting from the expertise of our bold and passionate winemaking community worldwide. Ninth-generation winemaker Dominique Portet chose the cool climate of aptly named Coldstream in the Yarra Valley as home to the eponymous winery he founded in 2000. It was the culmination of a tenacious search for grape-growing terroir to rival that of his native Bordeaux – but also the start of a new chapter in a winemaking story that has its roots in France in the early 1700s.

Founder Dr. McMahon carved his own path when he first planted Shiraz at Seville Estate. No one believed that a grape from the South of France could thrive in the cool climate of the Yarra Valley. Luckily, they were wrong.

The Yarra Valley’s rich history spans more than 30,000 years. The Wurundjeri people are the region’s traditional landowners. Their name for the Yarra River, “Birrarung“, means “place of mists and shadows” – a phrase that perfectly encapsulates the enduring allure of this breathtaking region. According to the Aboriginal dreamtime story, a wedge-tailed eagle etched the Yarra River into the landscape to create the valley.

We acknowledge that we gather on the unceded lands of the Woi Wurrung people here on beautiful Wurundjeri country, where the mighty Birrarung flows and the Ngurraks sing. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging as we today place footsteps upon footsteps of those made by thousands of generations of Aboriginal people who have come before us. We also pay respect to the non-indigenous brothers and sisters who gather here today, as we are all on the journey of reconciliation. We must acknowledge the past and work together in the present, so that we can move forward as a united nation.

We’re a blueberry winery near Healesville, in Victoria’s gorgeous Yarra Valley and we’ve been making blueberry wines for over 15 years.Our family have been blueberry growers for two generations, and our business has developed over the years from a 4-acre blueberry farm in nearby Narbethong selling punnets at the roadside, to the winery and cellar door you see here today.

Founders Marc and Eva Besen purchased the property at TarraWarra Esate in 1979, initially as a family retreat. Thanks to their love of the wines of Burgundy, and with encouragement from legendary Yarra Valley winemaker Dr John Middleton, they planted the first 6 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 1983. Forty years on, the 400-hectare property now encompasses 26 hectares of vines, an extensive nature reserve, cattle grazing, a kitchen garden and our beautiful cellar door and restaurant. The vision to create and share a unique and beautiful place is driven by gratitude to this country that opened its arms and homes when Marc Besen arrived in 1947. Together we strive to fulfil his vision for TarraWarra Estate, as custodians, we are defined by heritage and a deep sense of place.

Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. Established in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus, the 1973 vintage saw production of the first vintage of Dry Red Wine No. 1 and Dry Red Wine No. 2. Yarra Yering quickly gained an international reputation for quality and individuality and paved the way for other Yarra Valley wineries.

The Fergusson Story - In a valley home to 50 wineries and 110 vineyards, rows of trees protect 20 acres of harvesting land. The first planting at Fergusson Winery took place in 1968 by two brothers. They made it a home. They hung their family crest on a farmhouse wall … and they gave the land their namesake, Fergusson.

In 2019 we took on an ambitious project: to convert an empty urban warehouse into a sustainable winery. Whilst we’re still working on 100% sustainability by 2023, we have managed to build a beautiful and functional space to produce premium wine in. It’s a facility that considers the people using it, not to mention its impact on the planet. It's a place where we can merge our passion for winemaking with our commitment to preserving the planet, and we're excited to continue making progress towards a greener, more sustainable future for our Yarra Valley vineyard.

We are a family of winemakers with three small vineyards. There is a winery restaurant, cellar door, and B&B accommodation on the Arthurs Creek vineyard all run by the family. Our vines were planted 35 years ago in the beautiful Yarra Valley region of Victoria, and our grapes are hand-picked, and the wines crafted by our three winemakers. The Yarra Valley is one of Australia’s cool climate wine regions and is renowned for its Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sparkling wines. Arthurs Creek vineyard is on the northern slopes of the valley, at an elevation of 400 metres. Come and visit us. Take in the scenery. Allow the dogs to laze about. Warm yourself by the wood fire (or use the Air Conditioning!). Enjoy a delicious meal with a nice wine in front of the open fire. We are looking forward to your arrival!

The names Punt Road and Airlie Bank recognise the important role our estate played in the history of grape growing in the Yarra Valley. On Melbourne’s Punt Road, against the bank of the Yarra River, once sat the Airlie Bank vineyard. It was from here in 1860 that Hubert De Castella, a Swiss immigrant and pioneering grape grower, acquired vine cuttings to plant 200 acres of vineyard in Coldstream. The wines produced from those historic vines quickly gained acclaim and recognition in Australia and Europe. This land would later become the home of the original St Hubert’s vineyard and then the Punt Road vineyard and winery.

The Tregambe family have been making wine for generations in Italy and it is their age-old wine making techniques that head winemaker John Tregambe employs at Nillumbik Estate. Throughout the year, John readily delights visitors with barrel tastings of new vintages or a tour of the pristine vineyard. The large deck at the cellar door offers breathtaking views of the Kinglake Ranges; ready to be soaked up with a glass of fine wine and a rustic meal.

Phil found his holy grail near Gruyere in the Sexton vineyard, which he planted in 1997 on the steep slopes of the Warramate Ranges. A mad jazz fan, Phil named the winery after John Coltrane’s album and fitting metaphor “Giant Steps. In 2003, Winemaker Steve Flamsteed came aboard, and the two set about producing a range of iconic Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that express a profound sense of place from six finite sites in Yarra Valley.

Nestled in a corner of the Yarra Valley, a stone’s throw from Coldstream Hills and Yarra Yering, was the Log Creek Vineyard. Planted in 1982, the six hectares of mature vines had been established as a grower vineyard, with fruit sold to other producers. Naturally, Mike named the vineyard Squitchy Lane recalling where he had lived in Oxford, where he first began his foray into wine. “We wanted Squitchy Lane to be anything but ‘more of the same’ and I think with our range of Fume Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc—as well as some superb Pinot Noir wines—we have done that; our aim is to be innovative, without going outside the structure we know can work in our micro-climate at Squitchy.”

The Zapris family arrived in Australia from Greece almost 70 years ago. They left behind not only treasured heirlooms but a strong family tradition of winemaking. At the time, John, the youngest son at age 13, promised his father, Evangelos, that whatever uncertainties awaited them in their new homeland, that one day they would own another vineyard and winemaking would again continue, just as it had in Drimos. Sir Paz Estate was established in the Yarra Valley in 1997. Sadly, it was 5 years after Evangelos had passed away. However, a family tradition had been restored, and a promise, over half a century old, was fulfilled.

The first vineyard was established on the Stefani family farm in Healesville in 1998. With substantial plantings in the years that followed, the project has grown and now includes a small winery, storage and bottling facility allowing all aspects of the winemaking process to occur on-site. With a focus on family heritage we strive to produce wines of significance that express place and time, both past and present.

After 30+ years of making wine for some of Australia’s most iconic wineries, Yarra Valley legend – Rob Dolan, made the decision to channel his passion and skill into his own label. And so, Rob Dolan Wines was born. Rob’s decades of friendships with the top growers of our region gives us access to the premier vineyards of the Yarra Valley. Rob believes the best fruit – with a ‘less is more’ approach in the winery – is key to creating wines with elegance, structure, and stunning depth of flavour. Wines that make you stop and savour. Wines with true character.

The vineyard occupies approximately 2.13 hectares consisting of 0.86 hectares of Pinot Noir clone MV6, 0.74 hectares of Shiraz clone PT23 and 0.53 hectares of Sangiovese clones 50 percent MAT1 and 50 percent MAT 2. The first planting of Pinot Noir and Shiraz was on ungrafted rootlings in 1991, this was followed by another additional small planting of Shiraz in 1998, also on ungrafted rootlings. The final planting of Sangiovese in 2003 was on grafted rootstock, Richter 110. 110 Richter has high phylloxera tolerance, a high to very high drought tolerance and imparts low vigour to the grafted vine. All vines are trained to the VSP trellis system with one cordon wire and two moveable foliage wires which are cane pruned and hand harvested to ensure the best quality fruit can be produced.

On 110 acres of largely undisturbed bush land we have four, small vineyard blocks, totalling approximately 10 acres. Most of the vineyard is positioned on a free draining slope. The gradient falls towards the South which, together with the 200-metre elevation, accentuates the cool nature of the vineyard. As such, the mesoclimate of our site provides a longer than usual ripening season which, in turn, produces wines of varietal intensity, elegance and complexity.

We grow varieties you would expect to find in the Yarra Valley, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as northern Italian varieties and styles including Brachetto, Nebbiolo, Marzemino, Savarro and Pinot Grigio. We endeavour to search for native northern Italian vines to plant at Soumah to continue the quest to build a little bit of Italy in the Yarra Valley. Only an hour drive from Melbourne, taste our award-winning wines at our cellar door and dine at our restaurant, Ai Fiori Trattoria, while taking in the view. For something more exclusive, book a private tutored tasting in our Premium Wine Room or indulge in an extended stay at Villa Sophia, a spacious country-style property located in our vineyard.

Payten and Jones have a strong focus on sustainability. Our wines and vineyards have been carefully developed over the years to capture the unique location of the Yarra Valley. Drinking our wines is like going to see a live band as opposed to listening to a CD - all the interesting and random fun stuff is left in. The story of Coldstream Hills began with a commitment to and a passion for the Yarra Valley - a wine region known for producing exceptional fruit and outstanding wines. Situated in the Yarra Valley, one of Australia's premier cool climate wine regions and renowned for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the steep, close-planted vineyards lining the natural Amphitheatre have become an icon of the region. Coldstream Hills’ suite of winemaking and viticultural techniques aims to express the individuality of the vineyards and showcase the pedigree of the Yarra Valley. With a focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Coldstream Hills also produces Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and sparkling wine.

Medhurst Wines is the realisation of the long held and shared vision of Ross and Robyn Wilson to make wines of provenance from their Yarra Valley property. Ross and Robyn Wilson spent years looking for the perfect site and for many reasons they jointly decided on the Yarra Valley. Robyn Wilson spent her childhood here, and the Australian and international status of this excellent cool climate wine region and its incredible beauty, helped make their decision. The Medhurst Vineyard was also particularly chosen for its favourable micro-climate, north facing slopes, good drainage and magnificent aspect. Each Medhurst wine reflects the site and variety from which it is made and the season in which it is grown.
